Heading
to the first tee reminds you of the adrenalin rush
you experienced as a teenager attending your first
live performance of your favorite rock band for the
first time. As you travel from the practice facilities
to No. 1, a very playable dogleg left par four, you
pass through the rustic Covered Bridge over a rushing
waterfall and encounter two lakes and the beautifully
manicured ninth and eighteen greens.
The No. 1 tees are elevated above the fairway so there’s
no mystery about the landing area you are shooting
for. A good tee shot sets up an easy approach to an
inviting green that frames the view of Beckwourth
Peak in the distance. Whether you score a birdie,
par or bogey, you have just tasted one of the most
enjoyable mountain courses in the country and can
look forward to seventeen additional treats.
